Currently pursuing research  in MG university in the broad area of Gender History  specifically focussing on the  gendering process  in the  Protestant missionary discourses, with an  emphasis on the agency of  the local Women Co-workers of the CMS mission from the central Travancore region.

  • Minor Project Title: Envisioning Female Agency: Tracing the History of the Local Women Co- workers of the CMS Mission in Central Travancore –19th & 20th Centuries Year:2015-2016

    Short description: This study attempts to gain insights into the lives of the local women mission workers in central Travancore, in the colonial period during the 19th & 20th Centuries not only from the context of religious history, but within the wider social and cultural patterns, of women's historical experiences.It situates itself within the feminist scholarship of empire and the impact of imperial relationship and the agency of the local mission worker.
